WHO NEEDS A TV SURVIVOR SHOW WHEN REALITY OF REAL LIFE SURVIVORS' STORY DELIVERS DRAMA?
I know I am not unique in feeling a special connection to the soul of Heath.
I know because I watch the videos that fans make on different video hosting sites. You can see the special feelings that Heath enlivens and inspires in his fellow human beings.
And we are grateful. It make us feel more alive.
So in this way death does not end a life . . . . Heath is still with us.
Inside us.
Just like his characters came from inside him. He let them get in there and come through him.
Heath played such diverse roles. He showed whimsy, depth, intelligence, sexiness, vulnerability, strength and humor. These two movies alone show contrasts that make me marvel at his talent.
For Heath . . .
i carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart) i am never without it (anywhere i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

I became interested in Heath Ledger's movies earlier this year.
Heath Andrew Ledger was born April 4, 1979 and died January 22, 2008.
I have seen some of his movies in this order A Knights Tale, The Four Feathers, Brokeback Mountain, Ten Things I Hate About You, The Order, Ned Kelly, Cassanova, The Brothers Grimm, The Patriot, The Dark Knight, I'm Not There, Monsters Ball and Candy. I bolded the ones that I found myself relating to in a special way or being drawn to with a special connection. I didn't want to see Candy because it is about addiction, but the music at the beginning is hauntingly grabbing and the way the characters are played is exceptional. And Heath as Dan, pulls you in. Heath is special that way. He is able to get inside the character. Or the character gets inside him and Heath let's it play through him.
My plan was to make a video while using four of his movies to show the diversity of the roles and his ability to become the contrasting characters from the inside out. But in the in end my computer wouldn't allow me to use more than the two in the above video - not enough hard space, so it said. And because of this, I wasn't able to fine tune the transitions, the video is disappointing from a creative point of view for me. I learned some things when I did it and will try to improve on it in my next effort. The movies I used, Candy and A Knights Tale, do show contrasting roles. Later, I hope to use The Four Feather, Brokeback Mountain, I'm Not There and Monsters Ball.
Heath supported and participated in The Masses
The following is taken from The Masses website:
The Mission of The Masses
The Masses is a collaboration of directors and artists united by a passion for music and driven by unique and diverse cinematic visions. Our goal is to connect with the audience, inspire the crowd, and function as a factory of ideas without losing the ideal. Within the intersection of art and commerce, we find the message and deliver it to the masses by the most powerful, visionary and authentic means possible, be it film, music, advertising, or multi-platform content.
We are all connected. We, the consumers. We, the creators. The Masses creates for the fundamental spirit in all of us.

In January of 2007, while visiting his homeland of Australia, Heath Ledger presented Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse with an idea to direct a video for their yet-to-be-released song “King Rat”. Heath’s vision, brave and unapologetic in its nature, would marry his love of bold and original music with his impassioned stance against the illegal commercial whale hunts taking place off the coast of Australia each year.
Always one to operate from his heart and take a stand for what he cared deeply about, Heath’s intention was to raise awareness on modern whaling practices through a potent visual piece without having to say a word. It was his way to let the story, in its candid reversal, speak for itself.
The video was fully conceived down to the last detail but unfinished when Heath passed away in January of 2008. We completed the video in his honor with the support and advocacy of Isaac Brock.
Proceeds from iTunes video downloads in the first month of release will go toward Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization committed to ending the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species. Sea Shepherd uses direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas. We encourage you to visit their site if you are compelled to make a larger donation or volunteer your time. http://www.seashepherd.org
The King Rat video was directed by Heath Ledger, co-directed and illustrated by Daniel Auber with lead animation by Norris Houk, animation by Jade Taglioli and produced by Sara Cline of THE MASSES.
THE MASSES and Modest Mouse are proud to present “King Rat”. We hope Heath’s work inspires you in the same way his passion and bravery inspired us.
Those of us who feel Heath's spirit is connected to our own have Heath to bring us together I find. Those of us who check Youtube daily for new Heath fan tribute videos begin to respect one another's interest and honoring of Heath.
I find it difficult to think of Heath as gone in a way. There he is so real in the films and in the interviews in the dvd's special feature sections. These special features are gems.
Thanks to the directors of the films who put these special features together and respected Heath and his talent so much.
When you are young, young enough to feel love, don't miss the joy. It is just too luscious to miss. When you become older in life, it is such a source of gratitude and elation to have lived life, loved life, dared to be different if that is who you are and to have loved. How exciting!
Don't play it safe or do what you're expected to do or ignore your own heart. When anyone tells you that you can't do something, ask yourself why he or she would have a reason to tell you what you can or can't do. Trust yourself first.
"Friend, don't be a perfectionist. Perfectionism is a curse and a strain. For you tremble lest you miss the bulls-eye. You are perfect if you let be. Friend don't be afraid of mistakes. Mistakes are not sins. Mistakes are ways of doing something different, perhaps creatively new. Friend don't be sorry for your mistakes. be glad for them. You had the courage to give something of yourself. It takes years to be centered; it takes more years to understand and be NOW." Frederick Perls
........................................................... If You Go Away This is sung by a Youtube poster, Rudy, jazzdjoe from Singapore who writes: This is my humble rendition of a wonderful song of Brel. English lyrics are by Rod Mc Kuen. I added the Malay lyrics at the end. Enjoy.
If you go away On this summer's day Then you might as well Take the sun away All the birds that flew In the summer sky When our love was new And our hearts were high And the day was young And the nights were long And the moon stood still For the night bird's song
If you go away If you go away If you go away...
But if you stay I'll make you a day Like no day has been Or will be again We'll sail on the sun We'll ride on the rain And talk to the trees And worship the wind
But if you go I'll understand Leave me just enough love To fill up my hand
If you go away If you go away If you go away...
If you go away As I know you will You must tell the world To stop turning 'til you return again If you ever do For what good is love Without loving you? Can I tell you now As you turn to go I'll be dying slowly 'til the next hello
If you go away If you go away If you go away...
But if you stay I'll make you a night Like no night has been Or will be again I'll sail on your smile I'll ride on your touch I'll talk to your eyes That I love so much
But if you go I won't cry Though the good is gone From the word goodbye
If you go away If you go away If you go away...
If you go away As I know you must There is be nothing left In this world to trust Just an empty room Full of empty space Like the empty look I see on your face And I'd been the shadow Of your shadow If you might have kept me By your side
I am reading Eckhart Tolle's book A New Earth ~ Awakening Your Life's Purpose. So I am practicing being totally in the present. A big subject in the book is EGO. TRUTH is another topic. A topic I love. I think TRUTH is the center of the Universe. I am happiest when I feel in alignment with the Universe ~ the Source of All... and when I feel I am living the life I was given to live. I don't know if that makes sense to you. Somewhere I read that it is my job to be happy. When I feel guilty that I haven't done enough, I still feel good about myself if I am happy. Because I feel that if I can add to the happiness of the *physics of the Universe, that is enough.
Chapter: BEYOND EGO: YOUR TRUE INDENTITY "When the ego is at war, know that it is no more than an illusion that is fighting to survive. That illusion thinks it is you. It is not easy at first to be there as the witnessing Presence, especially when the ego is in survival mode or some emotional pattern from the past has become activated, but once you have had a taste of it, you will grow in Presence power, and the ego will lose its grip on you. And so a power comes into your life that is far greater than ego, greater than the mind. All that is required to become free of the ego is to be aware of it, since awareness and ego are incompatible. Awareness is the power that is concealed within the present moment...The ultimate purpose of human existence, which is to say, your purpose, is to bring that power into this world. And this is why becoming free of the ego cannot be made into a goal to be attained at some point in the future. Only Presence can free you of the ego, and you can only be present Now, not yesterday or tomorrow. " Pages 77 ~ 78
"...If you believe only your religion is the Truth, you are using it in the service of the ego. Used in such a way, religion becomes ideology and creates an illusory sense of superiority as well as division and conflict between people. In the service of Truth, religious teachings represent signposts or maps left behind by awakened humans to assist you in spiritual awakening....
There is only one absolute Truth, and all other truths emanate from it. When you find that Truth, your actions will be in alignment with it. Human action can reflect the Truth, or it can reflect illusion. Can the Truth be put into words? Yes, but the words are, of course, not it. They only point to it.
The Truth is inseparable from who you are. Yes, you are the Truth. If you look for it elsewhere, you will be deceived evey time. The very Being that you are is Truth..." Page 710~71
I thought of ego while thinking of Hillary Clinton the last few days. I know the purpose of this book is for me to consider my own ego, my own presence, my own being in Truth...I get that. But I do see a woman in Hillary, who is trying to fill inner personal needs and she looks like she is using the rest of us to give her the identity she so desperately needs. Illusion is also talked about in this book. Summarily, I get this from Eckhart Tolle's writing: When we aren't true to ourselves, we live an illusion. We aren't living in Truth. And we are being dictated by ego. Our Past is driving us and we aren't aware of the Present...
Anyway, about Hillary and her story of Bosnia... ................................................................. .................................................................
I was wondering how a mother would have her daughter with her in Bosnia with sniper fire while wearing bullet-proof clothing and not have a clear memory of it. And I was wondering why Hillary wouldn't have a conversation with her daughter about her daughter's memory of the Bosnia trip when repeatedly her story was becoming suspiciously untrue. Then, I saw this: ....................................................... ....................................................... NBC News covers the Bosnia trip and which Democratic candidate will get the nomination CBS News exposes the story of Hillary Clintons 1996 trip to Bosnia, as CBS accompanied Mrs. Clinton and Chelsea on the trip. "Hillary Clinton admits she ... ("misspoke"). "
I walk around my house, feeling so fulfilled and grin.I can’t keep from bursting outloud “I love my life”.
It has not been this way a lot of my life.
I’ve been “here” before. But this time, I’m so fully conscious of it and why.
There were people in my life that kept me from me.
Trying to please them took me away from being pleased with myself, my life.
My mother for one.
I had to find how to think about the mother that has openly judged me as a failure of a Christian, and a success of living a sinful life- my entire adult life.My mother is a bottomless unpleasable pit for me.She’s unhappy with me,
even though I am so thoroughly happy with myself and my life.
Even a mother can be a stumbling block.
And mine was.
Until August 8, 2006.
It is like I found myself born finally.
Finally able to know what I felt about her behavior toward my father. And toward me.
Finally able to face her and not let her twist my insides with her manipulating ways.
Finally able to separate what I believed about myself from what despicable person she said I am.
I found I couldn’t please her and me with the same life, the same me.
So I have gone with the woman that I want to be and am . . . and left her view of me - with her.
We met in Bermuda just after I was leaving an abusive relationship. The kind that involves physical abuse cycled with profuse, seemingly heartfelt apologies and promises to stop.
Getting into relationships is easily mindless. It’s getting out of them that has always been difficult for me. Because making something work -even though it was implausible with open eyes - wasn’t something that I gave up on. And I never was able to think about my own well - being over the hurt that I saw the man in.But this last thing never seemed to bother the man in my last relationship.A hint of one of his tears would melt my heart and keep me from thinking clearly. But I could live in forced silence from him for a week or cry for hours and he would simply walk away.It is much more lonely to live in a relationship like this than to live with a beautiful relationship with myself I experience. I needed to learn the lesson that if something isn't working, it's okay to leave.
Even though, he appeared to not be confining. He certainly was.I was spiritually looking for his soul, but it was never available to me.I don’t think to him, either.I was emotionally starving.Starving to find any moment to feel a connection to him.I was dying inside.
When you are dying before your death is anywhere close, you are in trouble.
I was in trouble.
And now, I am not.
I am so vibrantly alive.I feel full, I feel excited.
When people in your life keep you from who you are – you can’t possibly be happy.
Others don’t bring happiness to your life. You do.But they can block you from your happiness.
I shed that baggage
and
have never felt so good.So completely full of emotion. So colorful.
This is a glorious place to be in my life.
I’m sad that these relationships are broken and missing,
but I give them their lives, as they choose them,
and I have not attached strings to them.
I have no control over them.
I can’t change our barren relationships.
I can’t rescue something that isn’t there - with people who are so fragmented
and living in emotional denial.
I don’t like living in denial.I never did.
I can’t stand pretentious people.Never did.

The second is to look things in the face and know them for what they are.”

“When someone takes you away from you – walk away.”Sandra Hammel
Life is a spiritual experience for me.
I love my spirit.
I love the Greater Spirit I am part of.
I love all spirits
who are free to love back . . .
. . . who throw their “joy of life” out for all to walk in the glow of . . .
………………………………………………………….
………………………………………………………….
radiating out all that they are, have become.
This is where I live.
In the radiance of all the good in humankind and all things good,
true and willing to find the life of celebration.
This is where I am.
Life is Music to Me
………………………………………………………….
………………………………………………………….
Life is Dance to Me
………………………………………………………….
………………………………………………………….
Life is Drama to Me
Life is Color to Me
………………………………………………………….………………………………………………………….
Life loves truth
This is Where I AM . . .
. . . in this glory of Life
Celebrating Life as a Good Thing
and open to abundance.
You are welcome to come sing with me,
to come share the joy and dance with me
You can see the joy, delight and contentment in my eyes.
I invite you to live in what our eyes find in one another’s eyes.
I invite you to make love with our eyes, our hearts,
our unbridled exploratory touching…
…abandon time and caged up emotions
that have kept us prisoners way too long,
once upon a time.
No one can hold me anymore from being me with all the stops pulled full out.
This is where I live my life, now.
Free of my mother’s judgments, free of fear that she won’t approve of me or won’t like me.
This is where I am.
NOW.
………………………………………………………
………………………………………………………
You could be here, too.
But I can’t take you here.
I can only be here.
No more denying who I was born to be.
I stand tall here
in the light
in my truth.
To my mother:
Walking into your presence
still gives my breath halting, choppy breathing,
but
I am strong enough now to keep all of me
in tact
and
leave your presence with a renewed energy and self-awareness
that I am still whole upon leaving you.
You’ve stolen my wholeness in my life, until now.
Today is different
and
I stand alone, but whole.
As sorry as I am that we have no connection,
no relating between us –
I can live “here” now
and be fully alive
with or without you.
To life, I say
Thanks!
And to all who can see me
and not attempt to kill bits of me – thank you!
All in us is open
and all is open to us.
Wow.
I love my life.
It’s true.
It’s genuine.
It’s joyful.
It’s my bliss.
It is Divine.
Life meeting LIFE and complementing the other.
This is living the way I am sure it was meant to be when we were created.
I love my life. I love where I live. And I am passionate about my passions. I love to dance. Necessary to live: music, piano, singing, writing, acting, painting.
I have been fighting for and supporting the arts all my adult life. Since 2004, I have been working with other activists to end the Darfur genocide.
I have traveled to Europe many times since my early twenties. Places I have been: many USA states including Hawaii, Montreal, Canada, Barbados, France, Spain, Luxembourg, England, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Greece and Germany - and have wonderful memories.
My last trip was in May - June 2013 to Spain.
I would like to travel to Europe and Kyoto, Japan.
I love the southwest where I have visited Hopi, Navajo, Zia and San Idlefonso potters.
Life is exciting and I intend to live it full-out to the end.
B.S. and M.M., both in music

Genocide is not only a word,
it is crying of the whole human race.
There is nothing redeeming about being silent
when speaking up is the humane thing to do.
The honor and integrity of the human race is at stake.
