I WANT TO KNOW WHAT LOVE IS ~ singing from a hole in the heart is WYNONNA JUDD

When I saw this Oprah show, I so regretted that I didn't record it for the sake of having these moments in time.... when Wynonna Judd sang this song...or better to say, that she let this song out, out from a heart that was raw that day. If you saw the show and "experienced" the hole in her heart within her family and what she never had manifested in her life, then you would have a more authentic "understanding" of "where" the feelings came from that delivered this one-of-a-time rendition of this song. Some "singings" are sacred, holy ground....and this is one of those....

SO I MISSED THIS BECAUSE MY MIND'S BEEN ON RAFA AT THE US OPEN

National TV Broadcast: Black Eyed Peas performed "I Gotta Feeling" and officially opened Oprah's 24th Season (2009-10) along with 21,000 fans dancing on Michigan Avenue (Chicago, Illinois) on Tuesday, Sept 8th (2 days before it aired nationwide).

The producer, Australian Michael Gracey, was also responsible for a famous flash mob dance at a Liverpool train station that was used for a phone commercial, but Tuesdays event was much larger in scale.

And in order to pull it off, late last month local casting agencies were enlisted to look for dancers.

This is being touted as the World's Largest 'Single-City' FLASH MOB event ever held, thanks in part to T-Mobile! Watch in HD Quality if available.

(Lyrics)

I gotta feeling that tonights gonna be a good night,
That tonights gonna be a good night.
Lets live it up.
I got my money,
Lets spend it up.
Go out and smash it.
Like Oh My God,
Jump off that sofa.
Lets get get OFF,
I know that well have a ball,
If we get down,
And go out,
And just loose it all.
I feel stressed out,
I wanna let it go,
Lets go way out spaced out,
And loosing all control.
Fill up my cup,
Mozoltov,
Look at her dancing,
Just take it off.
Lets paint the town,
Well shut it down.
Lets burn the roof,
And then well do it again.

ONE WHO SHINED IN A SHORT LIFE - HEATH LEDGER

..........................................................

..........................................................
A Knights Tale
Tribute to Brian Hegeland, Heath Ledger and Paul Bettany
Uploaded by ilovemylifesblog

My text at my Youtube page accompanying this video:

This film is a great collaborative effort all around. I loved Heath Ledger, and also especially Paul Bettany, then Mark Addy and Alan Tudyk. The second unit was superb. The costumes were great especially, for Shannyn Sossamon's character.

Thinking of Heath
"...And these for whom life has no repose, live at times in their rare moments of happiness with such strength and indescribable beauty, the spray of their moment's happiness is flung so high and dazzingly over the wide sea of suffering, that the light of it, spreading its radiance, touches others too with its enchantment..." Hemann Hesse STEPPENWOLF

All commets welcome. Nothing negative about Heath Ledger will be approved however. He's died and in death, granted respect and grace. On this page at youtube.

Sorry, not democratic, but for me, it it the least I can do to honor Heath's spirit and talent that he shared with us.

If Tomorrow Never Comes
Written by: Kent Blazy, Garth Brooks

Sometimes late at night
I lie awake and watch her sleeping
She's lost in peaceful dreams
So I turn out the lights and lay there in the dark
And the thought crosses my mind
If I never wake up in the morning
Would she ever doubt the way I feel
About her in my heart

If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day
That she's my only one
And if my time on earth were through
And she must face the world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes

'Cause I've lost loved ones in my life
Who never knew how much I loved them
Now I live with the regret
That my true feelings for them never were revealed
So I made a promise to myself
To say each day how much she means to me
And avoid that circumstance
Where there's no second chance to tell her how I feel

If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day
That she's my only one
And if my time on earth were through
And she must face the world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes

So tell that someone that you love
Just what you're thinking of
If tomorrow never comes

My comment left at The Four Feathers' director's Shekhar Kapur website - the page about Heath Ledger

Some are born with a gift to shine a light for the rest of us to touch, connect to and receive their radiant beauty. Heath was one.

I love “The Four Feathers”...I just discovered it recently. I am moved by it and specially so by Heath in it.

"...And these for whom life has no repose, live at times in their rare moments of happiness with such strength and indescribable beauty, the spray of their moment's happiness is flung so high and dazzingly over the wide sea of suffering, that the light of it, spreading its radiance, touches others too with its enchantment..." Hemann Hesse STEPPENWOLF I love this quote and use it as a tribute to those like Heath who transcend the average and lift us up where our souls belong.

Some can move us for all time in just moments. Heath is one. In vital ways, he remains with us. A gift from Life and for our souls. Enriched by seeing in him, our own selves. We are all just a part of the whole of Life. Something about what Heath was able to present turned on a vibrancy in our own inner glow and light. He makes me feel more alive still. Sadness is there, too. But death doesn't end our feelings or relationships with those whose mortal bodies no longer inhale and exhale.

We are blessed by having lived when Heath was here.

Thank you, Shekhar for bringing us “The Four Feathers”. It stays with me. And in this transient world, that is an act of grace. I am grateful for the arts. For in them we humans can radiate and share our best selves.

It is lovely to share here and read the hearts speaking by all who have taken the time to write.

Ledger was an avid chess player, winning Western Australia's junior chess championship at the age of 10.[35][36] As an adult, he often played with other chess enthusiasts at Washington Square Park.[37][38] Allan Scott's film adaptation of the chess-related 1983 novel The Queen's Gambit, by Walter Tevis, which at the time of his death he was planning to both perform in and direct, would have been Ledger's first feature film as a director.[4][39]

In the summer of 2004, he met and began dating actress Michelle Williams on the set of Brokeback Mountain, and their daughter, Matilda Rose, was born on 28 October 2005 in New York City.[43] Matilda Rose's godparents are Ledger's Brokeback co-star Jake Gyllenhaal and Williams' Dawson's Creek castmate Busy Philipps.

Today tens of thousands of Americans are answering President-elect Obama’s call to service. Nearly 13,000 service events have taken place since we announced the President-elect’s service initiative, Renew America Together.

We’ve been hearing from you all day about how you’re serving your community. You’re volunteering in food pantries, painting schools, donating blood and so much more. Here’s a “word cloud” (via Wordle) that shows the most common words in the text messages you’ve been sending us.

Overview of the Inauguration

The presidential inauguration is the official day that the President of the United States is sworn into office. The purpose of this inauguration is to honor the incoming president with formal ceremonies, including: a Presidential Swearing-in Ceremony, an Inaugural Address, and an Inaugural Parade.

She just brings the full-blown excitement out of me. Love her. I saw her live locally in a relatively small venue and I dressed for a Tina concert.

And when I heard Tina was going on tour again and Oprah's website would let us buy tickets prior to the public on Monday May 12, I bought my ticket for Boston today. $150 plus another $25 in fees. Outrageous and I shouldn't have, but I did.

Already admirers have uploaded Oprah's show on Youtube with Tina and Cher.

OPRAH, ECKHART TOLLE AND ME

NOW IS WHERE TO BE

Tonight, with 2 million people, I was online with Oprah's class with Eckhart Tolle using his book A New Earth ~ Awakening to Your Life's Purposes. Sort of fantastic! We began by all 2 million of us breathing in and out together. I wonder how it effected the physiology of planet Earth : )

I've been wanting to share a poem I wrote when I was in college titled In Risking, but I couldn't find it in a timely manner, so instead I share this one that follows. In the meantime, here's to LIFE! And loving being connected to the best in all of us.

Found, Not Lost
By Sandra Hammel

Are You Dangling? Are you holding on to life? Are you here?

Being-fully-alive is our guiding light.

Finding myself has been a journey.

And I love where the journey has led me.

Losing myself has never happened.

Thank you.

Denying parts of my self

never
seemed right to me

Although encouraged.

Being some thing other than what I am
just seems pointless to me.

But so many do it that way.

If I’m going to work hard at something,
it might as well be,
being the authentic me,

not a pretentious me.

In the end of either of those two choices, consider it

A pretentious person.
Who is she? What does she know about herself? What does she love about herself? How can she take what she knows about herself and relate it to
others?
How can she feel? How can life move through her? How can she receive life?

What does she really know? What is real to a pretentious person?

An authentic person.
Who is she? What does she know about herself? What does she love about herself? How can she take what she knows about herself and relate it to
others?
How can she feel? How can life move through her? How can she receive life?

What does she really know? What is real to an authentic person?

Which one will you be?

Betrayal of your self is the worst betrayal.

In the name of what, would anyone choose to pretend who she is?

Great pretenders are also great at denying what they feel.

Denying what you feel will kill you.

Some pretend to be authentic, but it’s still pretending

DON'T UNDERESTIMATE OBAMACANS ~ MY BROTHER IS AN EXAMPLE

Barack and Michelle Obama in Chicago February 5, 2008

Barack Obamam outside the Shoesmith Elementary School
where he voted in Chicago, Illinois

North Dakota Caucus

I have heard Republicans say that they are considering voting for Barack Obama. I am the only Democrat in my family of Republicans. From Indiana, living in New England, for the first time in my life, I have been volunteering for Barack Obama. I cannot stand Hillary Clinton. I cannot imagine voting for Hillary Clinton. I get a sick physical reaction just seeing her or hearing her talk.

...........................................................

...........................................................
Barack's
Super Tuesday Speech

My brother called me tonight from Maui, Hawaii and wanted to know what I thought of the Super Tuesday returns. He knows I am a supporter for Barack Obama. He cannot stand Hillary Clinton. But then he is a Republican. But here is the surprise ~ he said he would for the first time in his life vote for a Democratic Presidential candidate in November if Barack Obama is the Democratic candidate.

I just heard a political TV pundit say the "old way of thinking about politics" statement, that the states that Barack Obama won tonight would not go for a Democrat come November. How does he know that? This year is like no other. These pundits can't think outside the box.

I have immersed myself in these pundit shows this year. And some of these pundits are getting on my nerves. They are wearing on me and I really get offended that they think their opinions are so almighty important. Hillary is certainly on a raw nerve for me.

There is no way that I can vote for Hillary without feeling depressed. All the wind in my sails will be deflated if she is the candidate that moves into November.

Underestimating other people like me who can't stand Hillary is an oversight. We have the young people energized. We have have Republicans willing to vote for Barack Obama, the Obamacans. These are reasons these pundits who say that certain states will go Republican over voting for Barack Obama may be talking without getting outside the traditional, old tired box.

Barack Obama has won thirteen states -- a clear majority of the Super Tuesday states...

Missouri...

Colorado...

Idaho...

Minnesota...

Connecticut...

North Dakota...

Utah...

Kansas...

Alabama...

Delware...

Illinois...

Georgia...

...........................................................

...........................................................
That is what Barack makes me feel.
Hillary does not make me feel this way.

I love Barack Obama for my Presidential candidate.

And Hillary makes me so very sad.

COMING TOGETHER SHOULDN'T BE THIS HARD ~ NOT ON THE FENCE ABOUT OBAMA

I am supporting Barack Obama for President. I believe a lot of people have told me
that they are "undecided" or independent, when in fact, most independents lean either mostly toward Democrats or Republicans. And "undecideds" may be undecided, but mostly because they have paid little attention and learned little about the candidates. Maybe, they are too busy to take the time to learn about our next President. But the last two terms of George Bush clearly, I think, have illustrated why it is important to take the time to be fully informed. And then some claimed "undecideds" really just don't want to tell you who they are voting for. I had that happen tonight when I did some phone banking for Barack Obama.

I talked to one father when I was canvassing in New Hampshire, who likes Barack Obama. He expressed having daughters and wanting to vote for Hillary to show his daughters that a woman could be President. Here is my question: If you are a black African American little girl, wouldn't it be almost more important to see a black African American be President?

And tonight when I was phone banking, I happened to call a man who couldn't vote for Barack because he is a registered Republican. In his state that means he can only vote for a Republican in his primary. But he volunteered that he really liked Barack Obama and he told me to keep up the good work.

I grew up with transistor radios and television was in its infancy when I was a young child. We had dial phones. My first job was a long distance telephone operator between high school and my first year of college. It is unreal to be able to sit in a chair and by typing on a keypad and using links by clicking a thing called a mouse, I speak to people in Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa, South America as well as any state in the United States of America. This still makes me almost giddy. The networking that is available to us is endless. The grass roots organizing is easy. Of course, slandering others and spreading hate, bigotry and other debasing human behaviors also has a means to multiply.

I held out a while and didn’t have a cell phone. Just a year ago I got high speed internet and bought a new computer that actually is “fast”. Eventually I got cable TV and have C-span and HBO, too. Still no microwave, though.

I have discovered many things on the internet that are so much fun... and serious.
Rafael Nadal’s website, Ioan Gruffudd's fans, Darfur's Stop Genocide Now, and Save Darfur, Investors Against Genocide, human rights, some great news world news resources, including BBC, my pick of Presidential candidate, Barack Obama’s website and PBS. C-Span is a great source on TV and online: C-Span's Obama page at Campaign Network C-Span's Campaign Network. ..................................................................... YOU ARE THE KEY TO MOVE THE MOMENTUM FOR BARACK OBAMA AND NOW IS THE TIME ~ WHAT WILL YOU DO?

There is a momentum going. And Barack has led the charge. But it has been the leaders in neighborhoods and from college campuses that have been the unsung and unheralded champions of the movement surging forward. Time. We need your time and your courage to take action. From your home you have the opportunity to be a part of the process to help Barack Obama get on the ballot for November.

The most important thing is to "show up"....that is a phrase that makes sense...mostly because I have lived long enough to see that it isn't "right" or justice that always wins, or even mostly wins. What wins is what has had the action. I am firmly supporting BARACK OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT. But this is a case of will enough of his supporters do what it takes to put him on the Democratic ballot for November?

Here is the information that you can do tonight and tomorrow, Super Tuesday....

In a dramatic moment at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion, California First Lady Maria Shriver just strode out onto a stage that had already seen its share of celebrities -- Oprah Winfrey and Stevie Wonder among them -- and announced that she was joining the Kennedy half of the family backing Barack Obama, reports Mark Z. Barabak, who was there.
