Who is Behind these Lies?

Roger Stone boasts about being the sleaziest man in politics and that his rules are “Attack, attack, attack—never defend” and “Admit nothing, deny everything, launch counterattack.” As a young operative, Stone was involved in Watergate, causing him to be fired by Bob Dole. Stone was also forced to cut ties with New York Senate Republicans after he left a harassing message on the voicemail of Eliot Spitzer’s father. Even Republican Ed Rollins says Stone “always had this reputation of being a guy who exaggerated things, who pretended he did things. Roger was never on Nixon’s staff, was never on the White House staff. I don’t think you’ll find anyone in the business who trusts him. Roger was always a little rat.” Stone recently said “McCain himself should not run a slash-and-burn campaign, but a slash-and-burn campaign will have to be run by others.”

Floyd Brown, the leader of the National Campaign Fund, the Legacy Committee, Citizens for a Safe and Prosperous America and the Policy Issues Institute, once bragged he was part of the “the heart and soul of the right-wing conspiracy.” has a history of surfacing every four years to make right-wing attacks against Democrats in presidential elections. Most infamously, Brown was responsible for the racist 1988 “Willie Horton” ad against Michael Dukakis. Brown harassed the Clintons throughout Bill Clinton’s administration, with even George H.W. Bush calling his behavior in the 1992 presidential election—which included harassing the family of a recent suicide victim—“filthy campaign tactics.” After writing a 2000 book about Al Gore that went little-noticed, in 2004, Brown and David Bossie, working as the group Citizens United, make a movie called Celsius 41.11 and ran television ads attacking John Kerry.

David Bossie, who runs Citizens United, has paired with Floyd Brown for years. Bossie and Brown harassed the Clintons throughout Bill Clinton’s administration, with even George H.W. Bush calling his behavior in the 1992 presidential election—which included harassing the family of a recent suicide victim—“filthy campaign tactics.” After writing a 2000 book about Al Gore that went little-noticed, in 2004, Brown and Bossie, working as the group Citizens United, made a movie called Celsius 41.11 and ran television ads attacking John Kerry. In 1998, Bossie was fired from his job with the House Committee investigating Bill Clinton. When Bossie selectively released tapes, removing information that exonerated the Clintons, and improperly obtained phone records, even Newt Gingrich said he was “embarrassed for the conference at the circus that went on.”

The "LIVE FREE OR DIE" state of New Hampshire needs to live out the full meaning of their motto on their automobiles' license plates.

Wow! I so love the internet. And Dennis Kucinich has got the courage and the position to take this issue up. No one could claim that he wants a recount of the New Hampshire Primary vote because he thinks he was cheated out of a win. He merely wants a fair and just election process. And so do I. Don't you? We all should.

We do note, however, the following rather remarkably anomalous result which was reported late this afternoon by analysts from the Election Defense Alliance (EDA). As noted by one of the researchers, IT Consultant Bruce O'Dell:

Analysts at the Election Defense Alliance (EDA) have confirmed that based on the official results on the New Hampshire Secretary of state web site, there is a remarkable relationship between Obama and Clinton votes, when you look at votes tabulated by op-scan v. votes tabulated by hand:

Clinton Optical scan 91,717 52.95%
Obama Optical scan 81,495 47.05%

Clinton Hand-counted 20,889 47.05%
Obama Hand-counted 23,509 52.95%

The percentages appear to be swapped. That seems highly unusual, to say the least.

Kucinich asks for New Hampshire recount in the interest of election integrity

DETROIT, MI – Democratic Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich, the most outspoken advocate in the Presidential field and in Congress for election integrity, paper-ballot elections, and campaign finance reform, has sent a letter to the New Hampshire Secretary of State asking for a recount of Tuesday’s election because of “unexplained disparities between hand-counted ballots and machine-counted ballots.”

He added, “Ever since the 2000 election – and even before – the American people have been losing faith in the belief that their votes were actually counted. This recount isn’t about who won 39% of 36% or even 1%. It’s about establishing whether 100% of the voters had 100% of their votes counted exactly the way they cast them.”

Kucinich, who drew about 1.4% of the New Hampshire Democratic primary vote, wrote, “This is not about my candidacy or any other individual candidacy. It is about the integrity of the election process.” No other Democratic candidate, he noted, has stepped forward to question or pursue the claims being made.

“New Hampshire is in the unique position to address – and, if so determined, rectify – these issues before they escalate into a massive, nationwide suspicion of the process by which Americans elect their President. Based on the controversies surrounding the Presidential elections in 2004 and 2000, New Hampshire is in a prime position to investigate possible irregularities and to issue findings for the benefit of the entire nation,” Kucinich wrote in his letter.

“Without an official recount, the voters of New Hampshire and the rest of the nation will never know whether there are flaws in our electoral system that need to be identified and addressed at this relatively early point in the Presidential nominating process,” said Kucinich

Re: Primary votes need to be recounted and with the utmost of protection of justice

Dear Mr. Gardner,

It has come to my attention that there is a huge discrepancy between the New Hampshire's Primary hand-counted votes and the optical scanned votes. How can you encourage constituents to vote and not be able to explain this? It is highly unjust to ask candidates to pay for the recount of the state's weak voting verified results. We the People deserve better in this country.

I VOTED TWICE FOR BILL CLINTON, USED TO STAND UP FOR HILLARY ~ But NO More

I became a democrat when I grew up ~ the sole democrat in my family and raised in an extremely conservative fundamentalist church . I still visit that church when I go back to Huntington, Indiana. This past summer I went to the Wednesday night Bible class at this church. They were doing a series on the Bible and politics. The minister asked us which law we think stands out the most and deserves our attention. I volunteered, “that’s easy ~ the Patriot Act.” But immediately, the discussion was dominated by a woman who went on about why abortion is the most important issue of the country, clearly.

Onto the Hillary hijacking the important discussion of issues about the USA, the world and politics being responsible . . .

Did Hillary hire a Karl Rove wannabe? It sure looked like it when I watched the sleezy body language, backed up by the words of her campaign strategist, Mark Penn on MSNBC’s Chris Matthews’ Hardball last night. A swaying Mark Penn smiled the entire time while he brought up what he said was over. Both David Axelrod and Joe Trippi, strategists for Barack Obama and John Edwards were classy while Mark Penn continued his slime tactical errors.

When Bill Clinton was continuously attacked during his two terms as President he was sidetracked from dealing with issues that should have been dealt with. One example was the Monica Lewinsky period ~ the one that Bill Clinton ~ “did not have sexual relations with that woman” media hype. I learned later when I read books on the 1994 Rwandan genocide that Clinton chose to do nothing to help diffuse the heightening problems in Rwanda which was at this time. I had always liked Bill Clinton and stood up for him and Hillary when they were bad-mouthed in the teachers’ room. But this one thing turned me against Bill after he was out of office.

But I still respected Hillary. And when this Presidential season started I was tuned in right away. Mostly because I am so disgusted with the Bush lies, the human rights disregard and our international reputation negative factors. But when I finally got cable TV this year, I was able to watch nightly shows that enabled me to stay up-to-the-minute informed. I am a Darfur activist so I also am involved politically because we need political leaders to step up and do right by the people of Darfur where nearly a five year old genocide is being waged supported by the Sudanese government, China and Russia’s support on the UN Security Council and our investments through companies that invest in Sinopec and PetroChina in Sudan.

I was born April 2, 1949. Hillary Rodham Clinton was born October 26,1947. We are of the same generation. World War II ended in 1945. I have a B.S. and a M.M. I consider myself to be a person of principle and integrity, articulate and politically liberal. I am working as a volunteer for the Barack Obama campaign for President of the United State of America. As I posted previously, I'm not against Hillary, but I am for Barack. But that has all changed. I am now against Hillary.

When George Bush had others doing his dirty work for him when he campaigned for his two terms of the Presidency, he got off by many. But when campaigns are allowed to be slinging things for the purpose of affecting people’s image of a candidate’s character ~ it reflects on the candidate. Hillary has not removed herself from the dirty tricks campaigning by her staff. She in reality condones it.

She herself is so vulnerable but you haven’t heard anyone slinging mud about her or Bill.
She was elected United States Senator from New York on November 7, 2000. She has been in politics since 2001. No one has mentioned the possibilities of our country’s serious problems not getting addressed because Bill may once again stray or the Clinton attackers will start up again with earnest if she is the democratic nominee. And yet her camp, is saying she is the safe candidate because she has been vetted and we know what we are getting.

Yes, in a way. But no.

What Hillary SAID, is not true, as it turns out

Hillary is smart. But her campaign has taken a road following the Republican Play Book. Irrelevant and side-tracking trickery. And she is the one who criticized the use of the Republican Play Book in regards to the democratic Presidency race.

If you care about this country’s political health you wouldn’t be wasting our time with the “Dirty Tricks”, Hillary.

Last night, her strategist, Mark Penn, said she was the candidate for change. Really? So she jumped from running as the “experienced" candidate that she has been claiming trumps all and that she is? Campaigning without “Dirty Tricks” would be a change. And Hillary is not showing us that “change”.

Hillary can’t be an instrument for change and run her campaign in the old style of smearing her oppoent, Barack Obama. This is OLD SCHOOL POLITICS. It is playing the game in the same old, same old way that many of us are ~ to put it mildly ~ sick of.

Never in my life, have I worked on any candidate’s campaign. But I am now. Barack Obama has integrity. And that is my number one desired quality that I want in my President. I don’t see Hillary behaving with integrity, especially since her Obama smearing tactics have gone into swing. I can put my trust in Senator Obama, but I cannot into what I see of Hillary and her “mouths”.

Senator Clinton claims to have apologized to Barack today at the airport about this last smear, but she didn’t really mean it. The proof for me is that she allowed her number one strategist, Penn, continue to put the smear front and center on TV last night while saying it was over and after her pretend apology.

I smell a rat.
