Hear Welsh by Ioan Gruffudd & Matthew Rhys in “DAL Yma/Nawr”

Here you have a wonderful video of two friends doing a documentary together.
"This was a film done in 2003-2004 about Bardic tradition in Wales."* It's a completely Welsh language clip, and features best friends Ioan Gruffudd and Matthew Rhys. Thanks and credit go to www.ioanonline.com and *echidna82 for sharing. The clip starts with Ioan speaking while sitting on a rock at the beach running sand through his hands with Matthew striding toward him under the palm trees 50 seconds into the 2:24 clip. Then Matthew, wearing a different shirt, is sitting beside Ioan while they talk poetically in soothing, lulling tones.

God, Matthew sounds so different in his natural Welsh tongue. He sounds nothing like the Kevin Walker we see him now in Brothers & Sisters.

I seem to think that Ioan Gruffudd is the correct spelling of his last name. And I couldn't get back into my posting to edit.

What a simply wonderful idea!
Ioan would be great on Brothers and Sisters in any capacity. But Matthew and Ioan are so magnetic, for the viewer, together.
Did you read the wonderful article here on my blog from Elle magazine? If not, I highly recommend reading all four of the pages. You then get a real good feel for how in sync they are as friends. They have a genuine synergy together.
Do you think a mention on the "bloggers and sisters" blog would be a idea starter or an idea damper for Ioan to be on the show? They seem to want to keep things as their own ideas.
If you think Matthew sounds different here, you ought to hear him on a clip that I have linked over at my latest post at tvguide.com, BROTHERS AND SISTERS Finds The Great Divide in the USA (author: ilovemylife). Yeah, I know how Ioan's name is pronounced because I've looked it up ages ago when I was curious who this actor is from the UK. Ioan is a derivative of the Germanic name "Johann" which is why it is pronounced very closely or similarly. And if you listen closely to the Welsh language, it contains a lot of the Chaucer era middle English pronunciations intact.
I have yet to see the Jon Robin Baitz on Charlie Rose...I've upgraded to a new computer (built it from scratch) and stabilizing it with Windows Vista and moving everything from old computer to the new one. It's taking me a long time to finish, but I hopefully will get done soon. Anyway, I can't wait to watch it. :)
But definitely, if any actor should play Matthew's ex-boyfriend, it should be Ioan. :) The magnetism and sparks from those two would just light up the screen. :)

Late this afternoon (Daylight Savings Time) I sent off two postings to abc.go.com's posting "The Writing Process" by Ben Kruger.
Here is what I wrote in my second entry:
I made this a separate post because it may not get posted. I hope that it is noticeable that I don’t make “serious” (humor-filled ones, maybe) suggestions, etc. on this blog for the creation of the wonderful show, cast, arc, etc of BROTHERS AND SISTERS. But after doing my trolling on the web on two actors/Wales’ friends - I have this undeniable urge to share my in-love-with-my-own-idea with ANYone at the show who will read this. And this is only viable IF Rob Lowe’s fictional McCallister brother is still showing up as a Kevin lover-potential AND hasn’t been cast yet. (And if Ioan Gruffudd is willing and able.)
MY BIG IDEA is to cast Ioan Gruffudd as Rob Lowe’s brother. And yes indeed, Kevin’s lover. I say this more because of their synergistic friendship that I see in an old Elle magazine interview with the two of them together than the “Very Annie Mary” work that they did together:

Rob Lowe is beautiful to look at. Ioan Gruffudd is beautiful to look at. And they both can be boyish, humorously onery and show depth. And how can anyone deny Matthew and Ioan’s believability of an intimate friendship . . . and fictionally, an intimate love relationship? What do “you” think?

I would love to see Ioan Gruffud as Kevin's lover, but I really want to see him as Kevin's ex-boyfriend, since they did mention the ex once way back when...but I can see Ioan as the senator's btother too. I can see a lot of potential actors who can do man-on-man kiss and not flinch who would go well, hand in hand, with Rob Lowe's good looks. So many actors to choose from, so little time...lol.
As for my computer...I finally got it stabilized. Ugh...after almost a week of hell...yeah...working from ground up (building my own system and installing software) is a pain in the arse but the accomplishment when it is all done is very rewarding. :)
TONIGHT (Feb. 7th) is the BIG NIGHT I get to go see Luke in person...well as close to in person as I can get. LoL. I so can't wait! :)

I think every post you do is very close to who they want to get or are storyplotting. I think you're reading their minds so well, they're afraid to post some of your posts because they're too close to being true. LoL.
Maybe they should hire you to be their story plotter for Kevin + his boyfriends. :P
