Here are the story highlights:

Bush arrives in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President George W. Bush arrived in the Saudi capital on Monday afternoon to start a two-day visit to the oil-rich kingdom.


Pentagon plans new arms sale to UAE, Kuwait

WASHINGTON, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Pentagon on Wednesday notified U.S. Congress of planned arms sale to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait, which is worth 10. 36 billion U.S. dollars in total.

The UAE deal includes Raytheon Patriot air defense systems worth up to 9 billion dollars, the Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) told the Congress in a notice. Full story

Money can't buy our security as well as our honor could afford us a better reputation. Bush thinks he can buy us a coalition.
