BARACK OBAMA POLITICS & RAFA NADAL TENNIS

WHAT is IT? Some just have that certain something that you want to connect with or watch or be around. It is not just "looks". That helps. But it is what they do. How they move. Exuding confidence or humility or both at the same time. It is very much the intensity. The PASSION that sparkles off them. And "more" - is what you want.

I am tired, so tired of being lied to. I am so done with being insulted by my government. I am so tired of being talked down to by a President who isn't as smart as I am.

Some human beings make me feel good about being a part of the human race. But there aren't that many.

When I was a young person, I believed that most people were people of integrity, to be trusted and would stand up and live by their principles and convictions. Then I lived a life that gave me a different perspective. Now, I am disappointed in my country. I am disappointed that we the voters don't educate ourselves about what is happening in the world and we don't educate ourselves about the candidates that we can vote for. We then get a man in a suit like George W Bush as the leader of the world. And do we like his leadership? I definitely do not.

First, one for fun...Rafael Nadal. Then, several for the future...Barack Obama. For the first time ever, I gave money to a Presidential candidate last night. Okay, it was only $25, but I want something different...something that includes thinking that what "We the People" need is important enough to consider it and not just veto it.

President Bush does not want the Senate to pass SADA for Darfur.
He is wrong!

Second Bush administration department opposes Sudan divestment law

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The U.S. Justice Department is increasing Bush administration pressure on Congress not to pass legislation designed to slash U.S. and foreign investment in Sudan because of the Darfur violence. A letter to the Senate Democratic and Republican leaders even suggested the courts might be involved in knocking down a provision of the proposed Sudan Accountability and Divestment Act that would give congressional authorization for state and local governments' divestment schemes. The letter was circulated Friday by the Save Darfur organization.

Dated Oct. 26, the letter was the second within a week from the administration, following by four days a similar document from the State Department that made some of the same arguments on constitutional and foreign policy grounds rather than legal. The U.S. Constitution delegates foreign policy to the president. The Sudan law would punish U.S. or foreign entities for investing in Sudan while militias aligned with President Omar al-Bashir's government wages a terror campaign in the arid Darfur region of western Sudan.
