LINK TO RAFA NADAL'S "OLD" FORUM - NIKE "JUST DID IT" TO RAFA FANS
THE BRAND NIKE - JUST DO IT
JUST "DID" IT to Rafa's Website's Forum Fans
I just found out that The Forum that has always been at the official website for Rafael Nadal is no longer found when you go to his website. NIKE whose signature phrase is JUST DO IT, "just did 'it'" to the loyal Rafa fans who have been active at The "old" Forum. There is a new forum, that is not keeping any of the fan created things on the old forum. I only found it out by accident by seeing someone's signature announce the fact on the old forum. You currently can still get to the old forum, if you have the link saved. I have provided it below. However, there was no notification of this change. NIKE "just did it" as I said. It was done the second day of the Australian Open '09.
The new uniform has been a point of discussion among long-time Rafa fans...sleeves, above the knee pants. Now, this. This to me, matters more. Loyalty means something. And loyal fans feel a bit shafted by this Forum loss.

NIKE is in the business of selling things to make money. They need customers.
Rafael Nadal, who is sponored by NIKE, is loved by many fans worldwide. Rafa needs his fans.
The fans at the official Rafael Nadal website feel they have been treated disrepectfully and are disappointed at not only losing the work they have done dedicated to Rafa over the years, tournament after tournament, way before he became number one, but at the way this new forum just happened without any concern of the NIKE current or potential customers and or that Rafa fans would feel dissed by NIKE's decisions in this regard.
I won't be buying NIKE and I won't be posting on the new forum. Just my personal response. Neither NIKE nor the new forum will miss me, but taking the stand makes me feel better.
