Seriously, it is a concern. What is called common sense feels as though it is uncommon in reality.

I couldn't find an actual video of a scene from the movie The Crucible. The scene that Daniel Day-Lewis as John Proctor refuses to lie to keep his life is soul grabbing.

One sentence from the scene I referred to.
I never had a good history teacher or class. I continue to learn about history from books, online, PBS TV, documentaries and some movies. After watching Arthur Miller's The_Crucible with Daniel Day-Lewis, it was brought home again that it isn't just today that human behavior is not something to be proud of a lot of the time.
Jon Stewart who claims he is more like Jerry Seinfeld than newscasts and political shows like Rachel Maddow, illustrates how wrong he is here, as he illustrates the uncommon sense being used by some Republicans on their "nay" vote to help 911 first responders.

The result of this vote have made many people “saddened and appalled" by the fact that some Senate Republicans ( and one Democrat - Reid) have rejected a procedural move by Democrats to end debate on the James Zadroga 9/11 health bill and bring it to an up-or-down vote before the end of the session.
ReplyDelete"These men and women did not hesitate for a second when their country called them to the site of a disaster, placing their health, their ability to earn a living and indeed, their very lives on the line, this week we have seen the death of the thirtieth New York Police officer from Ground Zero toxic exposure injuries. How many more of these brave heroes have to die before the Republicans in the Senate decide providing for them is a worthwhile expenditure? No one should be playing politics when the stakes for our first responders, the very best of us all, are so high."
Aside from calling our senators, what is single most important thing anyone can do to get this bill passed. To all those nah sayers...unfortunately you can't all be FIRED on the spot. Do not expect to be re-elected, your actions are nothing short of shameful and discusting!
