IMPEACHABLE ACTS - WARNING - WILL BE OFFENSIVE TO BUSH ADMIRERS

IMPEACHABLE ACTS

I'm sorry if this offends you, but it is pretty much just how I feel.

IMPEACHABLE ACTS – CONTEMPT OF CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, THE GENEVA CONVENTION, POLITICAL LIES, PERSONAL INDISCRETIONS

I didn’t vote for George Bush for President. I am alarmed by what he has done to our federal deficit, our constitutional rights, our citizens affected by hurricane Katrina, the forgotten U.S. citizens, the very young, the teens, the foster children of our country, the poor and neglected AND what major damage he and his dismal “Mr. Decider” decisions have done to the United States foreign reputation around the planet Earth. And yet, there are people in the U.S.A. who think he is a wonderful President. I have no idea how any one can believe that. But there are those who do. And my family members belong to that group. I just don’t understand the ignorance. I can’t say what I really think of him because taken out of context it would be unwise for me to write here. But having just been introduced to Youtube in the last couple of months, I have had my world broadened. I just found the YouTube included below, even though it is not a new song by Neil Young, it is new to my world. I warn you if you like George Bush, you won’t want to hear what this song has to say. I can’t argue with what the song says, because I believe it is truthful. Something that has not been a part of President George Bush’s intelligentsia. This President makes me cringe and embarrassed. Unfortunately when I went to Europe in November 2005, the treatment that I received as an American was 180 degrees different from all of my previous trips to Europe. I think that matters. I think it matters what others think of us. The fall of Rome didn’t happen overnight, but the fall of the U.S.A. is on its way unless we can wake up to how to command “real” power. It is not by force that we gain and maintain power. But “force” has been the Cowboy’s language since he took office.

Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) stood his ground and joined the twenty-or-so other Republicans that have decided to vote with the House Democrats in favor of a non-binding Iraq resolution that condemns President Bush's troop surge.

Speaking of Bush, Congressman Paul was very straight-forward in his displeasure for Bush's "demented philosophy of conquest." Here is a portion of his floor speech:

RON PAUL: "In recent decades, our policies have been driven by neoconservative empire radicalism; profiteering in the military industrial complex; misplaced do-good internationalism; mercantilistic notions regarding the need to control natural resources; and blind loyalty to various governments in the Middle East."

I find Representative Paul (R) off my mark of someone to support for President, but at least he uses his brain about what he’s trying to express. I give him that. But I think we are due to have a democrat in the Whitehouse to balance out the stuff we've had to endure as a nation and the world with the 8 year regime of the Bush mind. And remember the two Bush Presidents' choices for Vice-President. Poor choices, both of them. I can't cope with 4 more years of republican smallness. We need to think of the soul of our nation and the global ramifications of our leadership, or what shreds are left of it.

Protest music is back with Neil Young's 2006 release, 'Living With War', featuring many great songs/ideas including this one, "Let's Impeach The President". Available in stores, online and on iTunes

Some of the things that this President has as his legacy include the Patriot Act, dismissing the adherence to The Geneva Convention and the undermining of human decency through lacking the manifestation of human and otherwise United States’ principles and Constitution at Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib. This President is proof of the Peter Principle.

Ignorance is no excuse for picking the leader of the free world who is so incompetent and has the moral attention span of one speech.
